Flannery’s needs game time!

With Ireland’s Six Nations squad due to be announce next week, Jerry Flannery’s patience must be being tested.

Anthony Foley, Marcus Horan and Mick O’Driscoll succesfully came through Friday’s visit of Munster to Newport on Friday, with Trevor Halstead, John O’Sullivan and Jeremy Manning becoming the latest casualties.

Flannery recently recovered from a shoulder injury only to strain a hamstring in training three days before Christmas. “I had a run on it today (Friday) and it feels good, so hopefully I’ll be available for next week.”  He’ll need to get a game in to guarantee his selection.
