Match Preview: Ireland v Georgia
It’s comeback time, it has to be! Ireland need to find steam and cut out the errors that they made against Namibia. Despite that performance Ireland make only one change, injured Trimble is replaced by fit-again Horgan.
Georgia on the other hand showed promise in Tuesday’s 33-3 defeat, 6-3 at half time and only when Argentina’s fitness shone above their’s did they crumble. However they make 11 changes after finding themselves on the receiving end of an “Uncomfortable schedule”.
Lock Ilia Zedginidze will lead the side again and continue his second row partnership with Montpellier forward Mamuka Gorgodze.
Massy’s Giorgi Chkhaidze has been switched from blindsite flanker to number eight and Pau fly-half Merab Kvirikashvili’s impressive performance to date keep his place as the only back to retain their place.
A win and a bonus point would put Ireland on level points at the top of Pool D with Argentina.
