Team News – O’Driscoll & O’Connell

O’Driscoll has been given the all-clear to play against Italy on 2nd February after sustaining an ankle injury during Leinster’s Heineken Cupclash with Leicester.

Jonathan Sexton will still miss out, but O’Sullivan is ever hopeful that Paul O’Connell may be fit enough to play some part in this years tournament.

There was concern that O’Connell would need a back operation for a recurring disc problem, however they’ve taken a different course of action with a steroid injection. If he continues his recovery rate he could return for the Scotland visit to Croke Park on February 23rd.
