Ladies lose out in the Semi’s
Ireland ladies have lost out in the Semi-Finals of the 2008 FIRA-AER European Championship to England, the reigning Six Nations champions. Trailing 12-3 at the half time mark, they put in a brave performance to lose 22-11.
They will now face France in a 3rd/4th place play-off, whilst England are widely expected to go on to beat Wales and become champions.
