Croke won’t be the new home for Euro rugby ties!

Croke Park will not be the home of the Heinken Cup this season – no matter how well Leinster or Munster do!

Should Leinster or Munster make it through to earn a home advantage in the quarter-finals of the Heineken Cup, there will be no rugby ground in Ireland capable of catering for the crowds with Landsdowne closed for redevelopment.

GAA President Nickey Brennan has ruled no-way:

“Our schedules for the year are in place. We have done deals with the IRFU and FAI for international games and that’s the end of the matter,”
