Paul Pook Joins the Team

Paul Pook has been annouced as the latest member of Declan Kidney’s team and will be strength and conditioning coach through to the Rugby World Cup 2011.

The Welshman is a former professional player and Wales Sevens representative, he has worked in the field of Sports Science and Fitness since 1994.

Once he had specialised in Rugby fitness he worked with professional side Ebbw Vale (1998-2000) and the Welsh Under-21 squad (1998-2001). in 2000 he took the post of head of fitness at English Premiership side NEC Harlequins until 2005.

Since then he has worked as a high performance consultant to the Ireland Under-21’s and aided the IRFU’s conditioning courses whilst working at varying levels with the professional and representative ranks of Irish Rugby.
