Humphrey’s vs O’Gara – here we go again!

It’s caused more arguments than I care to remember, Humphreys vs O’Gara – we’ve all done it, which would you pick on any given day?

You thought it was all over, and you think I’m going to say “It is now” – well it’s not!

Humphreys retirement from International Rugby at the end of last season must surely have left Ireland’s O’Gara thinking he was on easy street.

Tomorrow it begins, O’Gara vs Humphreys II!

When Munster take on Leicester tomorrow, wearing the No 10 shirt for Leicester will be Ian Humphreys – you guessed it, David’s younger brother! He hasn’t shaken the “little brother” tag mainly because his style is so similar to David’s – albeit that Ian’s deadly kicking comes from the left boot, not the right.

“I am looking forward to playing against him,” added Humphreys.

“He is definitely the form out-half in the northern hemisphere at the moment and probably only second in world rugby to Dan Carter. He is a class act so it should be interesting.”
