Tipperary is a long way for Leamy!

- Bitten on the arm by a Tongan
- Subsequently offered forgiveness over a few beers
- Cited for stamping against Italy
- Subsequently cleared by the judiciary.

He’s been a troublesome lad – but now he is part of that elite, that ride so many Irish hopes this morning…

The ever-watchable men of Munster!

In his younger days (he’s only 25!), Leamy had a habit of getting himself in troubled, he now believes he’s challenged his energies in the right direction.

O’Sullivan’s favoured back row has
- a proven line-out option,
- a ball carrying No. 8
- a breakdown No.7

Leamy learnt his trade from the masterful No 8, Anthony Foley and today will tie up with Easterby on the blindside, and David Wallace in the open, all that and David Wallace sat on the bench!

Leamy’s come along way to be a mainstay in this Ireland side that lost narrowly to New Zealand last Summer, beat Australia and South Africa in the autumn, before shattering the Islanders. As a 7 year old from County Tiperrary, he made his first trip to cheer on “Tip” at Croke Park for the All-Ireland fina, he’s been back nearly 2 times since and is thrilled at being able to show off his own skills there. That must wait however, for France and England. The millennium stadium lurks today.

The Welsh, will know that the Irish have won 11 out of the past 14 meetings. It’s a long way from Tipperary to the Grand Slam, but if Leamy has anything to do with it, Ireland will get there.
