Brian O’Driscoll missed Irelands 39-14 victory over the Barbarians on Tuesday after the death of a close friend, casting doubt on his involvement in the tour.
O’Driscoll will travel in the next 48 hours to catch up wit the rest of the squad in Wellington.

Brian O’Drisoll may miss Ireland’s summer tour after the death of a friend.
When asked about the subject Michael Bradley said:
‘No, not at the moment. It is a private matter.’

Trimble also to miss Summer Tour

Andrew Trimble will also miss out on the summer tour after requiring rehabilitation on a leg injury.
This leaves (in the absence of Trimble AND D’Arcy) Brian O’Driscoll as the only recognised centre. Munster’s Ian Dowling has been called up, along with Leinster rookie Luke Fitzgerald to assist.
