Ireland fly-half Ronan O’Gara has signed a new four-year contract with Munster and the IRFU. The deal will keep Ireland’s record points scorer tied to the province until the end of the 2010-11 season.
In November Ireland and Leinster skipper Brian O’Driscoll signed a similar agreement.
“There is a special bond between the players and the loyalty of the Munster supporters was a big factor in my decision,” said 29-year-old O’Gara.
“I look forward to working towards further success with Munster and to Ireland reaching new goals on the international scene.”
O’Gara won the first of his 66 international caps against Scotland in 2000 and was on the Lions tour to New Zealand in 2005.
